CNBC as an investment resource

During it's worst times, CNBC reminds me of a financial version of "The View", where the goal is simply talking, rather than actually saying something. The trend of financial journalists writing books in order to cash in on their fame reminded me of people on reality shows who tried to cash in their 15 minutes of fame, like "The Real World"'s Eric Nies' exercise video.
